The Legend of Zelda is one of the best video game series' ever made, and bears a cult following like no other. Despite the fact that nearly every game in the series is incredibly similar in its concepts and in what you must accomplish, it has been able to remain fresh and exciting throughout the years, and has become a massively successful brand. Since the first game appeared all those years ago on the NES, you could tell there was something different and special about the Legend of Zelda.
The fact that the game was the first game ever to allow you to save game progress onto the cartridge (most games previously operated with a password system), due to the cartridge having an internal battery. The gameplay as always consists of a blend of action, adventure, puzzle solving, and role-playing, to create something truly unique.
As with most successful series', whether it's a video game series or TV or film, it has spawned it's own selection of Zelda action figures and collectables. These collectables are frequently known as action figures
Some people choose to buy these Zelda action figures to play with, whereas others like to have them as a collector's item, or for a nostalgic memory of a great gaming experience. The most common and popular of all of the Zelda action figures available are the 'Link and Epona' figurines. Since Link is the main protagonist in the games, and Epona, his horse, is his trusty steed, this comes as no surprise. Other popular figures include Ganondorf (Link's arch enemy, and nemesis), as well as Princess Zelda and the Sheik (who is actually Princess Zelda in disguise).
